Free Redgum for me
Hi,
Following on from the post by VSquizz regarding the 'firewood' he picked up.
I was at a job the other day and I see the blokes woodpile contains 12" X 12" Redgum in really good nick, all cut up waiting to go in his fire.
I say to this bloke, where do you get your wood from? He tells me that he works for the local council, removing and replacing bridges and such and that the timbers from the bridges he uses for firewood. So I ask when he might be removing his next bridge and what if any would be available for me. He tells me, help yourself, just call in a couple of weeks and I'll let you know. WOO BLUDDY HOO. I'll post pics when I have some in my hot little hands, you know, just to gloat and stuff

Peter, Yes, was working.
Reeves, see what I can do.
Al, don't belittle my suffering, it was 4 1/2 months. (or if you're dumb like me, 5 1/2)
Ken, you'd be amazed how much free wood you can get into the back of the van.

DanP,
Don't know about the purloined wood; but I know you can fit 22 sailor boys in the back of an XA Falcon van. Mind you, the top row went in vertically..
