    Default Bead and Cove

I am going to build a strip built kayak using 19x6 timber bead and cove strips in Western red cedar and Paulownia, can anyone please advise me of a source of these milled timbers in close proximity to sydney. I thought I might use my KEV money and save myself some time and perhaps heartache.

I am not in the Sydney area but may be able to help with the paulownia. Have a look at www.paulownia-timber-sales.com.au and email me if you think I can help.

    G'day
Yes I have contacted you earlier with the idea of you supplying me the timber but you could not do the machining. Iam being 'lazy' I just want to purchase it already machined.

I remember your inquiry. Sorry I did not connect. I am going to the Brisbane WW Show on the 23th May and will look into what is actually involved in setting up to do my own bead & cove. I have a Triton router table and a router so if it is straight foward and the outlay not high I may be able to help.

In the meantime look up Cape Boatworks on the net. They used to be in Canberra but I think they are now in Wollongong. They won't be cheap but the're the only business I know of who will supply small orders.
