bloodwood burl
hello, im Craig...i was wonderin if anyone could give me a general idea of what bloodwood burl is worth? thanks for any help!!

it is just a turning blank...11/2" x 7" .....i just havnt seen it around here much...was not sure what it was worth and how available it is...

Aus is the home of the eucalyptus Muddpuppi and there is certainly a lot of bloodwood, both red and brown, though I haven't personally seen that much burl (but haven't been looking). From what I understand from other forums in the US, there is also a fair bit overthere, although I'm not sure we are talking the same species.
A blank 5.5"x7"x2" would be around $5 here, perhaps up to $20 if it had really really good burled grain.

thanks, that helps a good bit...the guy i got it from said it was a fairly rare piece...i make custom game calls and didnt want to sell myself short...if it is hard to get...if it is common and available.....this is what i have if dont know if its the same or not...
