Jarrah Palings Help Required
Hi
I am new to this forum so please be nice to me!
I have got approximately 400 Jarrah palings/fence posts. The measurement of one post is: 1600mm length x 63mm width x 18mm depth.
Does anyone have any idea how I could get rid of these and the price I could possibly ask for each post.
Many thanks
FF

Welcome to our madhouse.
The measurements you have given would be for palings. Posts are much thicker and wider than that.
Are you sure it is Jarrah?Tom

Hi
Thanks, I have been reliably informed that it is Jarrah - how could I confirm this?

Hi FF,
Sounds like you have a reasonable quantity of Jarrah decking shorts.
Jarrah 85x20x1.8 is going for around $3 per meter. Yours is narrower and slightly shorter so perhaps $2-$2.50 per meter.
Being fairly short lengths your potential buyers are limited to small decks and screens. Does your timber have reeds on one side or is it flat on both sides? If flat on both sides it may also be of interest to box makers. Google Jarrah decking to see if yours is the same.
As for moving it on .... the market place section of this site, Ebay or Gumtree.
