    Default Butterfly matching Camphor Laurel

Couple of Camphor boards displaying really nice grain and colour
Very much under rated is Camphor Laurel
Its status as a weed doesn't help its reputation...but don't be fooled
Can be as pretty as the 'best' of them
    Hope you enjoy the pics...MM

The lighter coloured boards are absolutely stunning. Have you moved yet Chris or are you still somewhere around Woodford?

While "butterfly-matched" might be a better description, the synonymous term here is "book-matched."
In any case, the visual concept has always been a delight to see.

Have you considered electric guitar bodies as well as (I hope) table tops?
I'm sure that there are luthiers who would mortgage their MIL's house for that.

No longer interested in marketing/selling timber Robson Valley...my health has declined unfortunately but that's life!
Still love looking at it though ...MM

I read you, loud and clear. Hell of a thing to have to quit.
Take on a partner and get something out of it!

I grow grapes for a crop and I start and sell frost hardy cuttings, new grape vines.
My legs are gone, I don't even know if I can do the pruning this spring (end of April).
So, I'll split the loot with a partner. The labor is easy, it's the walking & standing that's killin' me.

Here's a few pics highlighting how 'fiddleback' grain creates a three dimensional appearance
The surface appears undulating yet is perfectly flat
Will post a few more examples tomorrow...MM
