Might depend on where you are?
Greg Ward can usually lay his hands on some. As can Mal Ward of Boutique Timbers Linkregards

N silky oak
Where are you located? I have a few boards here at Cremorne in Sydney now.
If you want a larger quantity, I also have a lot of dry N silky on the farm and can bring it back to Sydney after the long weekend 29th Jan. If it is a few boards, you can collect from Cremorne, or of you want a large quantity I can get it delivered for around $80 first week Feb.
if you are in Qld however, you should be able to get it locally.
Check the posts on big stuff, around 18 months ago, Anthony completed his whole kitchen from timber I supplied.
It is beautiful stuff to work, I was at the Catholic Church in Townsville for a christening over New Year and all the chairs are golden and well made from n silky, beautiful design and plenty of quarter sawn grain as well as lighter back sawn.

Yes I do want some northern silky oak
G'day Greg
Yes I am definitely interested in buying some northern silky oak. Please excuse my confusion. I have little to no experience with positive forums. so many of my experiences on the net have been less than wonderful.
I fell in love with northern silky oak about ten years ago when I was living in Byron and found a secondhand timber yard selling northern silky oak as tomato stakes so I bought the lot. I have made quite a few small trinkets and such like mainly for my daughter who thinks that northern silky oak is the absolute bees' knees of timber.
I must stop rambling and get back to the point.
I now live in Frankston, Victoria and would very much like to see what can be arranged regarding the delivery of the northern silky oak.
What do I do? How do I pay you?
Thanks in advance
Robert

How much are you looking for? Are we talking a few planks or a few cube, and what thickness are you after?

n silky
I can bring boards to Sydney first week Fab
If only a small amount, you can arrange a courier to collect from my carport.
If you want half a cube or so..... I can deliver to a transport company.
How much do you want what sizes, thicknesses and widths and lengths? back or quater sawn or mixture
If small I can mail, thought normnally fright costs as much as the timber.....
Price around $7/super foot.
