Where to buy Western Red Cedar - Sdyney
I am after some Western Red Cedar to make windows. Does anyone know where in Sydney that I can buy some. I try not to go to places like North Shore timber because they are too expensive. Thanks.

I do not expect them to be much better than North Shore Timber.

Timbeck on Canterbury road Bankstown used to be the biggest WRC supplier. Not sure if they are still there or not

Be interested to know how much WRC is in Sydney.
Last week in Hobart I paid $45.07 per metre for 150 x 50 and $62.82 per metre for 200 x 50.

I've looked at a couple of websites. They are roughly $30-$33 per meter for 18mm X 140mm.

Try here Wongo: https://www.barrenjoeytimber.com.au/western-red-cedar
140x19 @ $21.50/lm.
I haven't dealt with these chaps before, just had them bookmarked as a potential source.

I ended up using some pacific maple I had instead of WRC. It would probably cost $1,500 if I used WRC. The sliding blinds work really well.

Great work Scott, as usual.
I'm sure in the bottom of your shed you can find something for every project.
