    Default Camphor Laurel

I live in Brisbane and I wonder where I can get some Camphor Laurel. Can be in slabs, finished or whatever. Any help would be appreciated.

They regularly come up on eBay.

I think many of the timber suppliers in south east Queensland would have access to it so it might be worth calling a few of them. If you don't need them immediately there are always hundreds of camphor slabs at the working with wood show in May.

Try these guys on the sunny coast.

I've seen them at the maleny wood shows and they seem pretty good for stock.

Carl I will be onto you tomorrow. I am making a big box for my daughter and if my wife likes the look of it then I will make a new kitchen and bathroom from it. I made a silky oak kitchen and bathroom at our last house and while it looked fine I like the wild look of camphor more. I have used a fair bit of camphor in the past when I lived and taught a bit further north and I always liked the stuff.

Thank you to all of you for your help here. We have moved from the country to the city. Where we used to live I got used to all the places to get all sorts of timber but I am still trying to figure out Brisbane.
