Camphor Laurel
I watched these youtube videos from an aussie woodworker:

He has gotten quite a bit of camphor laurel offcuts from a chopping board company. As far as I know, CL is not commercially grown/available - where would this company get so much of it from? So much to sustain a camphor laurel chopping board product line

I really enjoy that channel too.
Unsure as to an answer to your question, but it rings a bell that I saw a thread around here somewhere with someone trying to give away offcuts from making cutting boards. Apparently it was costing them a fortune to dispose of the offcuts. It may or may not be the same people, but if you found that thread, you could try asking them direct.

Camphor Laurel is a weed on the north coast of NSW and there is enough of it to sustain any number of timber products.

Camphor Laurel is a declared weed species in Queensland (https://www.business.qld.gov.au/indu...camphor-laurel)
There's plenty of it around so there's always some being cleared around the place. Stay in good with the tree fellers and you'll regularly get the nod.
