Nifty, an alternative is the Cape Lilac - the one that has millions of yellow seeds that all want to grow - it has a beautiful grain.

Cape Cilac trees are slowly being removed from a number of South Perth Streets but unfortunately most of these trees are full of rot. I only managed to rescue a few small branches from the trees they cut down in our street. I agree it has a really nice grain and turns beautifully.
