We have Cooktown Ironwood.
Leo turned up early this morning and dropped of the ironwood slabs. I am catching my breath right now but these basdards are heavy. As soon as my camera charges I will take some photos.
I now await Waldo.

Here are some photos of the slabs.
Most are in good condition with only one showing any noticeable voids. Most have some form of splitting of the end and some light surface checking as to be expected with slabs.
I planed up a small area and it does have a nice tight red figure. Many boards have a fiddle back figure. A few board have burn marks on some edges, probable suffered from a brush fire before being felled.
I can definitely confirm that this is Cooktown Ironwood.

Cool.
I'll try to make some arrangements in the next few days to pick the stuff up.
Thanks TS.

It is almost 1 p.m., and no sign of Waldo, hoping he has not taken a wrong turn.

He did take a few wrong turns, took the wrong right into Barkly St, and his clock on the Mac is an hour behind, so that's why he was an hour late.
And I can confirm the timber is damn heavy, about to go and load it all bar two slabs off the trailer.

After unloading them off the trailer, would you believe I look like this now?
I feel like a after all that, but it lonely driniking by yourself.
Anyway why I was posting here. I haven't taken any favouritism with the slabs, I unloaded mine first and they were just what happened to be on top of the pile. First come best dressed with what Thumbsucker got delivered.

Dunno, I'll wait for an idea to come to me, I might yet use it in a cabinet I'm making, that'd be the 3rd idea change for some of the timber I'm using in it.
Funny thing, SWMBO asked exactly that.
