Default Cedar from old house frame?

I picked up some hardwood from a demolition site on the weekend. No idea how old the house was, the timber was stacked when i got there.

Some of it is quite light weight, light in color like honey after running it over the jointer and there isn't much visible grain and very few knots.

Could this be a type of cedar? Maybe western red cedar? Did they use that for house frames?

Here are a few photos using my phone. Not sure if they'll help. I thought Oregon but always thought oregon had quite predominant grain. It was all free so happy either way. Was thinking about using it for adirondack style outdoor chairs if not my workbench.

Hemlock. There was a run on it from the early 70's to early 80's. The earlier stuff was fairly good but the later stuff was garbage so it was dropped from the market.
