    Default Cedar lovers

Sliced and Diced a Red Cedar a while back
Decided to plane a piece today to get a glimpse of the grain
    Glad I did
Love the smell of it too
What a fabulous wood it is!
    Love the stuff

    Strange stuff indeed Bob
The left hand side shows a narrow belt of crown cut grain
Which flows like lava alongside a larger section of quarter sawn grain

And when it is polished it will look ten times better and about ten foot deep.

Here's a slice of root end grain
This stump had a couple of sizeable roots that I milled
Some I dimensionalised....others I slabbed so to speak
Some nice colours and interesting grain in this piece
    Rich aroma too
