Default Ceylon satinwood burl and satinwood veneer?

    Hi all,

I'm currently looking to buy some solid burly ceylon satinwood blocks as well as some satinwood veneer (ideally fairly wavy grained).
I'm hoping some generous soul out there might be able to help me out, for a fair price of course

Does it have to be that satinwood or can it be another light timber? I'm thinking a pale Mango, Jacaranda or Silver Ash may be more available, especially with a fiddle grain

In an ideal world i'd vastly prefer ceylon satinwood, or west indies satinwood, as i already have a few plainer boards of each, though if there's another reasonably hard, pale timber with a lot of glow/chatoyance i'd be open to it.

Next question, how much do you want, sizes etc?

    Ah, the impossible question!

Though i don't have firm dimensions decided upon just yet, i'm wanting to use it for resawing into veneer to cover part of a desk top about 120cmx60cm or so, using the really highly figured material as a smaller panel surrounded by plainer more regular veneers.

I should get around 7 sawn veneers to 2.5cm of thickness, so perhaps a piece around 10-20cm long x 5-10cm wide and 4-6cm thick? Anything more than that would be a bonus, and i could also work with multiple smaller pieces.
