    Default Cheap timber supplies Brisbane

    Hi guys,
I'm a young university student who loves woodwork and making all manner of things, but my persistent problem is finding a place that sells cheap plywood and other timber! I live in Brisbane, and over the years I have found a couple of places that would sell me decent quality plywood offcuts for cheap, but they stopped selling to individuals and only supply to other retailers now. I can't afford to pay $150-250 for a decent looking sheet of plywood (they are also massive) and I don't have a vehicle big enough to carry sheets like that!

Does anyone know where I can still get smaller plywood offcuts? Also, I wouldn't mind using pine wood for a nice change... but I haven't found a good place for pine boards and stuff.

    Thanks for the help!

Any Bunnings store will have a stock of small sections of plywood. For pine, depending on sizes, you could try Bretts at Newmarket, Findlaysons at East Brisbane or Sumner Park, Wilsons at Moorooka, or, again, any Bunnings store. Any of them would be quite happy to give you prices over the phone, or they all have web sites.

    Default Mr Ply Wood Geebung

Have you tried Mr Ply Wood Geebung? They are the nicest of folks and always so accommodating. Maybe just maybe they could help.

There is also The Bunker up at Beerwah. Yeah know it is a bit of a drive but you never know.

    Hi

Have asked Mr Plywood at Geebung and they are more than happy to sell you some bits and pieces.

There is a 'bin' out the front of their office, however Glenn or was it Rob said to come inside and asked.

    Nice folk and great plywood.

    Hope this helps
