Default Cleared the front of my block

I am building a new carport at the front of my place and needed all the trees gone (1st photo). Yes I have approval. Yesterday the tree lopper friend of mine dropped all the trees (2nd photo) including a large Jacaranda (600 max), 20YO Blackwood (450 max), and a Chinese Raintree (400 max) amongst other shrubs and decorative trees. He stacked for me all the major pieces of each worth saving in a pile (3rd photo) before chipping the rest. Now I have to break it down further into turning blanks as it is not worth milling into slabs.

While he was root grinding the block he saw and saved these two lumpy chunks from within the Jacaranda roots shown on a large dinner plate (4th photo) - he is good like that . I washed them up and the chunks appear to comprise lots of little wooden balls, no gravel that I can see, but both are in the dehydrator now. I can see a pepper grinder blank cast under pressure in the future

    Cheers

Those jacaranda root lumps look very interesting. Looking forward to seeing what you do with them.

While reading the bit about the lumps and seeing them in the corner of my eye, I was waiting for you to say "...and they turned out to be gold nuggets..."

Oh well. Timber gold is just as good.
