    Default Contract Kiln Drying

Does anyone have contact details for someone who accepts private timber to dry in their kilns? I'm looking for someone to KD hoop pine if I get hold of the trees.
I love my Lucas!! ...just ask me!

    Hi Al,
Are u wanting to dry the lot in one go to try and keep the stain out of it or because of what sounds to be a fair quantity of timber.
I am going to build one at some point (a small solar kiln) 2 to 3 m3 at a guess but I suspect u will have more than this....might be the push I need to get it done....just had a thought, David Linton at Maleny was talking about a kiln some years back when I got some stuff off him, might be worth a try, don't have his contact details, has a shop at Maleny or did have?
Just googled his name...looks like he could be worth a phone call

Well here's the whole thing Pete.

I was contacted about removing over 300 hoop pines, so looked for a market for the hoop, through Carl I have someone who will buy rough sawn hoop, but it has to be free of blue stain and dried. The blue stain is no prob, just use that HY lite 80. The drying is the largest hurdle.

I'll be doing it weekends mainly so won't have it all sliced to make a full charge on it's own, so looking to piggy back a charge into someones kilns every few weeks until it's done. Once dry I can store it until the whole lot is ready to go, but I think the problem is drying it in smaller lots

there is a place in brisbane that has 4 or 5 large solar klins at acacia ridge Qld Doors you would be able to do smaller lots that way ,also at coopers plains there is a high temp klin for pine about 40 or 50m3 at a time first one does contract not sure on the pine one can get numbers if you want to send it that far . there is also a klin at palmview across the hwy from the pub.
