    Default Off-cuts from cabinet makers

Hi, I have 2 off cuts coming from a cabinet makers shutdown clean out but I have no idea what it is. It's close to density of pine IMHO. At the right angle I see the ribbon effect I like to see in maple. First photu has 2 streaks from the water run down it but the second photo is the other end wet. Appreciate any advice.
