Cutting Rougher header boards
Hi,
Just wandering if people use that spray on preservative after cutting the RH pine or just rely on a good paint or both.
The preservative takes two days to dry at least so is a bit of a pain.
Also do you need to prime this before painting. I haven't before and seems Ok - buts if it will be better then I will this time.

i assume you have cut treated pine.
There are mant different types of treatment used to treat pine - CCA, LOSP & ACQ for example.
LOSP requires a surface coating to protect it more so than a CCA treated board.
NB> Penetrative treatment is not guarranteed to get into the core - Have a look at the end grain as it may give you an idea how deep the woofer juice got in.
