Density of Argentine Timbers
Hi Folks,
Here are some Argentine timbers:

As to the really dense timbers; Astronium (13 species) and Schinopsis (seven species) are genetically very close (separated by the genus Loxopterygium) and each part of the Family Anacardiaceae. The densest of the Schinopsis species are S. glabra and S. brasiliensis from Bolivia and Brazil. The genus Prosopis is from the family Leguminosae and has 44 species, the two densest of which are probably P. kuntzei and P. torquata from Argentina.
