I can see your ID site holds promise, good format.
Will keep ypu in mind for further project supplies, unfortunately doing fairly mundane stuff at the moment, renovating, and of course using the most economical solutions in timber.

Not being a long term local I'm really not up on the Roma/Injune area but that bears investigation.
As for the recycling station timbers, excellent, I'll see what I can do. Dont have a lot of spare time though, reno will keep me busy for another couple of years!

Just outside Charleville is were the road trains go from doubles to triples, there is an area where they either remove or pick up the extra trailer.
This is an important link between South Australia, the Northern Territory and Brisbane, discussions with drivers out there may get you cheap freight on backloads from any of those destinations.
Mansell's in Toowoomba often do resupplies to rigs and camps further west of you as well, they may be able to cut you a deal on a backload as well..

I should know the answer to that. Its a bit farther inland, just this side of Miles or Chinchilla or ? Fair way away, definetly the other side of Roma.
I have just ordered a new saw bench from Carbatech, they quoted roughly $850 to my door with Toll-Ipec, I nearly fainted! Found rail is the sweet deal, a rough quote with them was $110 including insurance, and thats still door to door. Could be the way to go with timber purchases.
Any way I've just ordered 240 x 19 Radiata locally as I can't procrastinate any longer, need the material for the xmas break.
I thank you all for your input, now I have a better idea of how to go about this when I hit the Kitchen. I plan to build all of the cabinetry myself.
Cheers
Ross

Bugger, they must have allowed them much closer to the coast since I was out there, been 6 odd years since my last run out that way.
