    Default Drunken parrot

I've been offered a couple of large Drunken Parrot trees (Schotia brachypetala) and don't know if it's any good. A reference I found while Googling says it is used for cabinetry (but they also say you can use Kurrajong for the same!! ). Anyone had any experience with it? It's a big job if I commit to it - don't want to waste all that sweat on crap wood!

This one is native to South Africa Harry. The parrots can't resist the flowers and whatever drug is in it sends the poor little buggers crashin' into everything in sight - must be good gear!

Sounds like it must be related to Drunken Koala (Bluegum)

Koalas get high as kites after feeding on bluegum

We've got a reasonably big drunken parrot tree at our rental property. Its going to have to be pruned in the near future because of power lines so I'd be curious to see if its any good.
