Drying red ironbark at home
I need a little advise with regards to air drying Ironbark at home. There's a guy I know who recently cut down a whole bunch of red Ironbark trees and is in the process of milling them, he is selling them rough sawn and green for really cheap. Now to my question, how long should I leave them to air dry before they will be usable? I plan on building a pergola with them.

Just be aware that if using it for a pergola, or similar structure that will be out in the weather, it will tend to check if used green. It'll be fine to work with, but it would be a good idea to coat all end grain at least. We used to use blackjack (tar) on all hardwood cut ends when building exterior framing. You may also want to oil it or paint it fairly quickly, depending on the conditions.
You know you're making progress when there's sawdust in your coffee.
