It looks like the above web site link (Timber Merchants Australia & Worldwide) is dead. I've been trying to contact them for the last 6 months or so. Their phone is still connected, but has never been answered when I've called them. So, I'm not sure whether Sitco Australia is still operating or not....

Bevan,
Thanks for that
Not much at all. At the moment I need only a small amount for Eye pupils in an Intasia project........2 pieces about 10mm - 15mm round
If I have to source it from a commercial mob, I would probably order the minimum possible.

For such a small quantity, have you tried buying Ebony from one of the suppliers of timber blanks for pen making. Some pen blanks would be plenty big enough for what you've described,
I just tried the Timberbits web site (Timberbits - Pen Turning & Woodworking), but they don't list Ebony amongst their pen blanks stock at the moment. Maybe do the rounds of the pen blank suppliers web shops? I'm sure you'll find something.

Skot,
Try Pop's Shed in Melbourne. According to their web site, they've got Ebony Pen Blanks 19 x 19 x 125 mm for $ 9.95 plus postage.....

If you're looking for Black Ebony, don't buy the Queens Ebony as linked above, Queens Ebony is better known as Pacific Blackwood, it's not an Ebony at all and is dark brown.
Looks like the members above have you sorted, so good luck and I hope your project works out well!

Again, thanks to all for your responses and a BIG thank you to Bevan (Enfield Guy) for the piece I picked up from him tonight.
Bevan also gave me a piece of Qld Walnut (if I remember correctly) to use in my intasia projects
