Elm on the roadside in Williamstown
Maybe someone maybe interest in this.
I was driving around Williamstown, and the council seems to be trimming trees. There is a large Elm tree trunk and crotch wood section, about 10 feet long and about 3 feet diameter plus bark.
It has been cut into two with 7 foot going into the trunk and about 3 foot into the crotch.
It has a little rote at the pith, but it looks good otherwise. I am posting this as I do not have the crane or truck to move it. Maybe someone else may be able to rescue it before it goes to the chipper.
The tree can be found on Parker street Williamstown VIC, in front of the Williamstown Primary School, near the round about.
The tree was last seen at 5 pm, tonight.
