Brush Box timber
I've bought a Brush Box slab for an outside BBQ table. Does anybody know if this will be suitable for outside.
Regards
Dod

Shouldn't be a problem. Sharpen your tools though and be carefull of tearout if planing. Also if choosing anything other than an oil or wax/oil finish choose carefully and give an off cut a few coats first (or underneath the slab), then attack the offcut with a screwdriver to see if the finish delaminates. I found this with a poly finish and used a wax/oil instead.

We have used box for heaps of things. Indoor and outdoor. For the kitchen bench, we used Wattyl 7008 2 part Estapol. Very nice finish if you use it right, and nearly indestructable. An excellent combination of wood and finish.
