    Just a really wild guess, but Coolibah comes to mind.

    It looks like some Coolibah burl that I have.

    I'll be honest, I've seen less blurry photos. Aside from that and the obvious statement that it could be one of a dozen different species, I'm going to go for a crotch piece of Mango.

    Does look like curly Maple but ..a heads up is that it grows in and around rainforests of North Qld

    Nope...but it does grow around your area too Feckit and is a noted 'pioneer' species
