In the Gympie district of south east Queensland, we have just formed a forest growers cooperative to help coordinate the growing of trees and the sale of the timber we produce. To assist this we have made up a home page where we give a short story of how one of our members is growing his timber for the coop but more importantly we also are developing a data bank of timber, both of standing trees and sawn timber. With the standing trees, we hope to be able to sell the whole tree and have it sawn with a mobile mill of perhaps to cut the tree our selves into any hard to obtain dimention.
