Fumigating Timber
Has anyone fumigated small sections of timber for pests? I have some sheoak with signs of borer that I've applied Rentokil and kerosene to but wonder if fumigation would be more effective. IanW reported in a separate thread that he'd used pest strips in a garbage bag succesfully. Any other experiences or opinions would be appreciated.

I have always soaked timber in mineral turps. It shouldn't leave the oily residues that kero may leave. I don't see any need to add chemicals to the turps as a soak will kill insects and their eggs
