Thread: Fungal threat to health

The fungus is not specific to red gums, it's thought to have originated in soil debris around and on eucalypts but it seems to have migrated to other trees and places.

Many people are exposed to the spores but remain unaffected, the disease itself is still relatively rare.

There has been a half dozen or posts about it on the Arborisite site going back a few years but there has not been a noticeable increase in recent posts about it.
