Thread: Gable fixings - LOSP pine or jarrah?

The brochures on LOSP pine mention 25+ yrs!...Would LOSP pine last as long as jarrah if I paint it properly (pink primer plus 2 coats of exterior grade acrylic)?

How have others found the performance of LOSP pine over the years?

Properly prepared and installed (as well as painted) LOSP H3 Pre-prime Pine will last as long as Jarrah (if not longer as it will resist insect and fungal attack better)...

Also and FYI to any that dont know: Remember when you cut LOSP Pre Prime that you have to treat the cut with LOSP in a can (Bunnings/M10/etc supply various brands) and re-prime the portion that will be exposed to the elements (no need to prime the bits that but into other LOSP prime)... and yes you can mix the different brands if you wish...



Brand doesn't matter either, though the best on the market is from ITI
