    Anyone got a small piece off Gidgee I'm looking to make my own spokeshave?

    1” x 1 ½” x 12”
    and how much inc postage please? That’s to Melb

    Do you want plain Gidgee or figured? This bloke sells mostly figured knife-making stuff, but he was very helpful when I asked for specific sizes. You could contact him & ask for a quote...

    Whats the big attraction with Gidgee for charcoal? And then what do they use it for do you know, I'm sure you will

    Many of the Acacias are extremely good firewood, not that I am suggesting this is what they should be used for. I suspect that when charcol is produced from them it too is a excellent material and used for creating the high temperatures necessary in forges.
