Default H3 Permapine in contact with ground - advice please

    G'day,
I am building a greenhouse out of permapine and covered with plastic.
The boards along the bottom (which will be on the inside of the plastic) are in contact with the ground. They were re-used boards.
Am I better to sit the boards on uv resistant plastic or just not worry about them. The soil underneath is very sandy and well drained. Moisture will run down the inside of the covering straight onto these boards. If I incase them in plastic then moisture will be trapped next to the boards. If I dont cover them then they will be in contact with the soil but not externally but will be able to breathe
Its too late to paint them or treat them with ormonoid at least on the underside.
I would like this greenhouse to last as long as possible.
    thanks

The ground is self draining , the plastic is not . Put the timber in direct contact with the earth . It won't last forever , but like as not it will outlast the plastic greenhouse.
You could build it so that the ground timbers are removable/replaceable

Just to deviate for a second... what's the Termite risk in your area?
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

BIG, HuGE - Its like Termite Grand Central Station round here BUT they are nice cuddly friendly termites who wont touch pine even if its untreated, but they will walk a mile for a feed of tasty hardwood, exotic or native. As long as I stay away from hardwood I'm fine. If they wont eat untreated pine, I doubt they will touch H3, even if it is served a la carte.
