General hardwood around Gosford?
Hi all, newly registered lurker, here.. Looking to get this whole 'woodworking' thing going along a little after knocking up some quick bits and pieces for my new home, would like to develop this craft a little.
Only thing is I'd like to source some half decent timber - the pine from Bunnings is fine for practice, but I'm wanting to get my hands on some decent hardwoods for some slightly more serious work.
I'm on the NSW Central Coast, around Gosford and would love to source some local timber.. I've seen plenty of mention of the Lumber Bunker, but it also appears to have closed down (or am I wrong there?)... Anyone know of a good supplier of (preferably local) timbers in that area?
Much appreciated, and I hope to be able to share tales of all my wonderful sawdust creation in the near future!

hardwood
Try Mal at Boutique Timbers. He delivers to the central coast every month from the mid north coast and has plenty of hardwood, various types. Tel: 65858296 or try his website 'Boutique Timbers'

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum MicN,
Also consider "timber recycling" yards;
a quick skim through the thicknesser and wow!
Cheers, Crowie
