Default Help to identify a type of timber from a pic

Hi everyone, I am about to get my floorboards done, and we want a hardwood with a really strong grain. I found a picture (ATTACHED) but would like some help identifying them.
    Cheers

EDIT, I can't seem to make the pic larger, although on my computer it is a lot bigger, so here is a link to the photo --> http://images.realestateview.com.au/.../6731135eo.jpg

    Default

Base on that picture it could be anything including a mix of timbers.

    Thumbs up

    As BobL has said.

Commonly known as mixed species hardwood.

Depending on where you are in Aus there will be a different range of species and the grain
pattern will differ from species to species.

    Default Spotted gum?

Spotted gum produces a very wide variety of colours and grain patterns. Your pic may be spotted gum but it usually does not have as much red as that. Be aware that the amount of 'green' will vary dependent upon the type of preservative treatment used on spotted gum sapwood - cca gives green, tanalith E gives 'brown'. Note that the heartwood timber is often 'greenish' and this is not affected by the preservative.

    Hope this helps, Timboz
