Default Help identifying what this table is made of

Hi all, I was given a very old hall table by a great aunt who is 90 years old, she lived in Quorn in country SA and said she had had the table for years. It is in pretty bad shape and before I attempt to restore it I would really like to know what sort of wood it's made of.

    Cheers

The leg to apron looks like hoop pine, the 3rd looks like it could be spruce, only guesses

I started sanding it back about 20 years ago and noticed the wood seemed different for each bit of the table, is that possible?. I am wondering if my Great Aunts husband made the table from left over timber, he has been dead for about 30 years so I can't get any information from him and my GA is in a nursing home.

The table is light, really easy to carry.

    Question

Looks and sounds like a mix of North American timbers With perhaps a Bit of Hoop Pine, or even Kauri thrown in.

Western Red Cedar, Oregon. Spruce, Hemlock???

Definitely looks like some spruce in there but I'd only be guessing as to the others, nice mix in there, good luck with the restoration!
