Help please - wood to Blue Mountains
I have a log of wood, 40 inches long and about 10
inches diameter, to go from Wallan Victoria to
Springwood in the Blue Mountains. It is for a
fellow Forumite.
My local transport operator cannot assist in the
short term and it may be weeks before he could.
Does anyone have a transport operator (truckie
mate) who may be able to assist.
For the record I can meet such a person on the
Hume Highway to load it at short notice. The log
could be taken to Springwood, Katoomba or Penrith
and picked up from a depot or location nearby.
A suitable donation toward fuel costs would be made.
All suggestions welcomed.
Allan

Given the WW show, could you get it done in 2 steps?
Someone to get it to the WW show, and someone else to get it from the show to the mountains?
Is there a time frame?
Cheers,
Andrew

Get it to a reasonable location in Sydney, and I can get it to Springwood. Not on the south side.

If he gets it without working for it; he's a parasite; and if he accumulates it after a life time of hard work, people call him a fool who never got anything out of life."

Hooray, a little luck at last.
I knocked on the door of a home in Wallan
as there was a prime mover parked on the front lawn.
He transports cars from Melbourne to Sydney about
five times per fortnight and is leaving again Tuesday
morning.
The log of wood will now be picked up by the Forumite
direct from their premises.
Thanks to Arose (Andrew), Wheelin Around (Ray)
BobR, Ruddigar and Echidna (Bob) for their efforts in
providing a solution.
