Default Cedrus Deodara (Deodar Cedar) tree timber

    Hello all,

New to the forum but am curious if anyone is interested in some timber.

I am in the process of having tree loppers quote me on the removal of 3 trees.

One of them is a Cedrus Deodara (Deodar Cedar) which is very tall and straight. I am told that out of the lot it is possibly a great tree for timber (firewood & construction) if anyone wants it otherwise it has to be cut up and scrapped.

I hate wasting anything so hence this post.

If interested in this tree and cutting it up to your own preference let me know.

    Info on the tree:

over 20m. The limbs don’t start until approximately 5m up the trunk.

It is a hardwood and as per the attached info I found in the link below here are some of its supposed uses – “It is used in house building, beams, floorboards, door and window frames, furniture and general carpentry.
    It also produces quality plywood”.

Search google for photos of the timber grain.

    Welcome to the forum.

Stuff for sale should be posted in the market place and follow market place rules.
If the mods move this post you will know why.

It would also be really helpful if you changed you location to something other than Australia so members would have some idea where this tree is located.
