Hooped pine in the Geelong area???
Looking for a source (not the actual trees) of hooped pine or something similar in Geelong (dont want to travel to Melb unless I have to).
I am making some chopping boards using redgum and hooped pine and really love the contrast in colors. Unfortunately I have run out of the pine!! Can anyone point me either at a supplier (need about 50mm thick stuff) or a similar coloured wood (simply finishing with mineral oil).prove how bored u really are, ..... visit....... http://burlsburlsburls.freespaces.com/ my humble website

Depends on how much you are after. If you only want a board Shiva me timbers in Kororoit creek Rd Williamstown have it for sale for $3600/m3. If you want ~$300 or more I'll sell it for $2000/m3. Sorry but it takes me 1.5 hours to get to my wood and home again.
