Hunting a bit of cheese wood-
Hunting a bit of cheese wood for a wacky sculpture. Has to be cheese wood cos its part of the thing. Pitosporum Bicolour. Would like a bit at least 300 x 300 x 50mm platter shaped I guess. (Or bigger, but that's probably a big ask. )Anyone got some lurking in their stash? Or know where I can get some?

They seem to be a very skinny tree.
Li think you will struggle to find a piece that size.
Does it need to be cheesewood or just something blonde?

Island Specialty Timbers at Geeveston had a couple of small cheesewood logs reserved for their (monthly?) auction when I was down there about three months ago. Their phone no is (03) 6295 7161.
IST's website is accurate but not necessarily complete - they often have small quantities of stuff that is not listed on their website - so you have to visit or ring.
Failing them, try Briton Bros Timber in Smithton - (03) 6452 2522.
It is really rare and and rarely harvested, so good luck.
