    The bark resembles a fruit tree, like a nectarine or apricot maybe.

    Definitely not a fruit tree.

    It is deciduous & grows in Western Australia

    To me deciduous yes and fruit tree yes and grows in WA yes. That to me looks like large branches off an English Fig

    Apparently the tree feller said it was an "African ******" but the owner can't remember his exact words.

    I thought someone could ID by the distinctive juvenile bark.

    We were given some small logs at our club they said they were knifer plum an african tree.
