    Default Any idea what timber this is - spotted gum?

    This is flooring timber so I suppose it must be something common. Any ideas?

    It looks like spotted gum to me.
    I cut it twice and it's still to short.

    Valid point. Maybe whoever laid the floor took the (long) time to colour match.
