Information on different plantation woods and their properties
Hi,
I'm quite new to wood work and so far all my experience has been with hoop pine. I'm interested in expanding my kowledge of different timber types available
from plantations (and native timber plantations even more so), and the properties of these timbers.
Can anyone recommend a good database online or somesuch?
Thanks.

Not all of these species are likely to be plantation timbers - some will and some won't. Some that will be plantation species may not be plantation sourced, and some that generally aren't regarded as plantation species may well be from private small scale plantings.
