    Default Jarrah QLD maple for fretboard in Brisbane

    Not sure if I am posting in the right place but..

    I am trying to get some 6 X 40 - 42mm and 6 x 50 - 53mm Jarrah or QLD maple to use as a fretboard for cigar box guitars I am making in Brisbane. I have tried a number timber suppliers but none seem to be able to help. Any ideas?

    Hello Michael
    I know Lazarides in Banyo have Qld Maple, but maybe not highly figured stuff.
    I have about a cube of figured QM here and if its just a small quantity you are after I could cut and dress that for you.
    Let me know what lengths and numbers you need.

    Hi Brian

    Thank you for the kind offer. I'm after about 4 of 6mm deep X 50mm wide x 420mm long and 4 of 6mm deep x 44mm wide x 450mm long. If you think you may be able to do it that would be fantastic but if you can't I fully understand. And of course please let me know what you would expect for the wood etc.

    I'm a bit busy with work the next few weeks so there is no rush.
