Lake Macquarie Wood Supply
Hi I am located in Lake Macquarie, am planning on making a bed soon and I would like to be able choose from a wider range of timber then the meranti and tas oak that Bunnings sell.
I was hoping that someone could direct me to somewhere that is reasonably priced in the Lake Mac area? Thanks a lot!!

Try marshals timber at Cardiff on the main road, or the hardware store behind Bunning's at Glendale. Also check the timber section of the yellow pages. If you want second hand timber you have a few options as well in the Newcastle region.

thanks
Hi thanks for that, I will look into it. Second hand timber is also an option - would you just get this from a second hand yard?

Some times you just have to be in the right place right time, to get something good. My fav spots are , con's at Wickham, Kurri demo yard, the buy back centre's from the tip, one at rural rd sand gate, the other at Cessnock tip, simply recycled at Nulkaba is good. The demo yard at red head is full of good stuff, good luck getting a price though, Ive left a few time disappointed.
