Leaching
G'day all,
I'm going to ask this question in two places on the forum as I really want to know what is what.
Does Huon Pine or Camphor Laurel leach oil at all, ever? I want to make bookmarks and there is a concern that the oils may mark pages in books over time.
This then raises the question of if any other oil sealers would mark the pages also?
It would be preferable to have a sealer that preserves the wood (not that either timber really needs it but as I am adding pyrography, thought it wise) but allows the smell out.
May do a test myself but would love any thoughts.
Thanks in advance.
