Seem to be a few regular auctions in western australia selling jarrah, marri etcI think they are a thing of the past in queensland though, particularly since wet tropics legislation was introduced.

    Good Morning Woody

Island Specialty Timbers - the commercial arm of the Tasmanian government Forestry Dept regularly sells logs and slabs by written tender - huon pine, celery top pine, sassaffrass, blackwood, myrtle (beech), etc. Have a look at:

They are held in WA in a place called Harvey every 10 weeks. They are run by the forest products commision but i believe you tend to pay too much for the logs. Usual lot sizes are from 2 to 20 tonne lots. You are better off finding out who your local logging contractors are and deal with them on a mixed load of logs and you will end up with more logs for your money

What species of log are you after? Got too many to mill myself and constantly getting more by working in close association with arborists in my area. Do you have a truck?
