Default Log ID x 2 help required please.

Really getting into preparing our cyclone felled timber for recovery.

    Two logs today looked interesting.
Location is Mission Beach FNQ Lowland Tropical Rain Forrest about 100m above sea level 4000mm Rainfall PA

Log one is one of several identical ones the largest of which is about 10m x 1200 mm at the base. Doesn't seem super hard to cut bark is a bit flaky in places.

Some locals referred to it as Mountain Ash clearly this is not correct so maybe Satinash?

Log two is a beauty 12m long dead straight 800 at the base very hard timber. It has been suggested as white mahogany.

I'd like to get some second, (and third and fourth) opinions. Also as to the usefulness of the timber as there are more logs of each.

That first one looks like White Cedar, not convinced on the bark tho, usually WC bark is a bit chunkier, no idea with the other.

Looking at the second one again, I wonder if it's Crows Ash, if it is will have a sort of buttery smell to it, heavy and dense, white sapwood and usually on the thicker side say 2 to 3", also will have a greasy sort of feel to it, good for flooring.

First does look a bit like White Cedar but the bark is wrong, I'd call the 2nd one Crow Ash for sure, does it have a strong smell?

Apart from the "freshly cut timber" smell there is no strong smell.
