Logs wanted for Tiki Carving any advice?
I Carve polynesian style Tikis using mallet and chisels and have used several types of wood.I generally used found woods, and even the odd cocos palm.
Can anyone point me in the direction of an affordable log supplier?. My dream woods are coconut logs, mango, breadfruit. but i'll take what I can get (i prefer softer woods.)
I'm on the NSW central coast .(Toowoon Bay)
The only regular supplier I have found thus far for whole logs is the wyong timber mill, although it's tallow, white mahogony, still great and the timber mill guys have been great as well , but the more options the better.
any tips leads or information is greatly appreciated!
