    Default Look what I found

    I was looking through an old box filled with pieces of timber which belonged to my father and come across a few interesting looking planks.

    Also in the box were these two blocks:
    The one is wild olive and I think the other one is black ironwood (olea capensis)

    You're almost spot on. It's actually partridge wood (panga-panga), almost exactly the same as wenge just darker.
